Made-to-Order & Lead Times

All Proper Copper Design products are handcrafted to order in our Brighton workshop, UK.

  • Individual product lead times are displayed on each product page.
  • Lead times vary depending on product type, finish, and production schedule.
  • Bespoke and custom commissions receive confirmed lead times during order finalisation.
  • All stated lead times are estimates, not guarantees, due to the handcrafted nature of our work.

Dispatch vs Delivery

  • Dispatch refers to the date your order leaves our workshop.
  • Delivery refers to the date your order arrives at its destination.

Delivery times begin after dispatch, not from the order date.


Estimated Delivery Times (After Dispatch)

  • United Kingdom: 1–3 working days
  • Europe: 3–6 working days
  • International: 3–10 working days

Delivery times may be extended due to:

  • Customs clearance
  • Local courier delays
  • National holidays
  • Peak seasonal periods
  • Weather or force majeure events

Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on order value, size, weight, and destination.
  • All shipments are insured for their appropriate value.
  • For destinations not supported at checkout, please email
    team@propercopperdesign.com for a manual quote.

Outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.


International Orders, Duties & Taxes

  • UK prices include VAT where applicable.
  • International orders are generally shipped excluding UK VAT.
  • Customers outside the UK are responsible for:
  1. Import VAT
  2. Customs duties
  3. Brokerage or handling fees

These charges are set by local authorities and are not controlled by Proper Copper Design. We cannot refund orders refused due to unpaid customs charges.


Risk & Responsibility

  • Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer once the order is delivered.
  • A signature may be required for delivery at the courier’s discretion.
  • Proper Copper Design is not responsible for delays caused by customs, courier disruptions, incorrect address details, or force majeure events.

Incorrect Address / Failed Delivery

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
  • Orders returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses may incur reshipping fees.
  • We cannot redirect shipments once dispatched.

Partial Shipments

In some cases, orders may be shipped in multiple parcels. Customers will be notified where applicable.


Lost or Damaged Items

We perform thorough quality checks before dispatch.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect:

We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.
