Returns & Refunds Policy

This website is operated by Proper Copper Design, a trading name of Khan Erkeksoy (sole proprietor).

At Proper Copper Design, every piece is handcrafted with care in our Brighton workshop. We want you to shop with confidence and clarity.

Your Legal Rights (UK & EU Customers)

If you are a UK or EU consumer, you have the statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless the item is bespoke or made to order (see below).

This is in addition to our extended returns policy.

Our Extended Returns Policy (30 Days)

We accept returns for eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

To be eligible:

• Items must be unused
• In original condition and packaging
• Accompanied by proof of purchase

Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items (Important)

Due to their personalised nature, bespoke, or custom items are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they arrive damaged or faulty.

This exclusion is permitted under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Cancellations

• Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided production has not begun
• Once production has started, cancellation may not be possible

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

We take quality control seriously.

If your item arrives:

• Damaged
• Faulty
• Or incorrect

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs.

In these cases:

• We will cover return shipping
• You may choose a replacement, repair, or full refund

Return Shipping

• Non-faulty returns: return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
• Faulty or incorrect items: return shipping is covered by us

Original outbound shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

For items over £50, we recommend a tracked and insured service.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

• We will notify you of approval or rejection
• Approved refunds are processed within 14 days
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method

Please note:

• Banks and card providers may take additional time to post the refund

International Orders

For international returns:

• Customers are responsible for return shipping and customs charges
• Duties and taxes are non-refundable
• Please clearly mark returns as “Returned Goods” to avoid delays
