Q: What is the difference between the available finishes?

Q: Can you make me this in a custom size?
A: Custom, bespoke copper home-ware is at the heart of what we do here in Brighton. We love to make individual products for customers that require something other than the standard sizes we have listed on our website. Whether it is a complete custom project, or just a handle in a size we don’t have listed, we are more than happy to create a quote for you and make sure to work alongside you to achieve a bespoke, handcrafted piece of product.

Q: How do I install my handcrafted copper home-ware?
A: All of our products are shipped including the appropriate instructions for assembly. However, if you misplace your instructions or find yourself without any, then please contact us and we will make them available to you.

Q: How do I know what size handle/pull I need?
A: All of our handles/pulls are measured using hole centres.

Hole Centres: Is the measurement from the centre of one screw hole to the centre of the other screw hole.

Overall: This the measurement for the overall width of the handle/pull.

Projection: Projection is the amount that a piece of hardware sticks out from the cabinet or drawer surface.

Bespoke Sizes: If the measurement you require for your handles is different to the standard sizes we have listed, please get in touch with us via email and we will be able to craft some handles to your required size. team@propercopperdesign

Q: Is the price listed for handles individually or in pairs?
A: All of our handles are sold individually. If you wish to purchase a pair, please select quantity of two. (This is because many of our customers wish to purchase odd numbers of handles, and allows us to offer samples).

Q:How do I know you have received my order?
A: As soon as you place your order a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you have provided. We will check and process your order by the next working day. Dispatch and lead times will be specified on individual listings If in unforeseen circumstances we are delayed with crafting your order, we will contact you immediately.

Q: Please can I have an update on my order and when I will receive my delivery?
A: If you require any update on the progress of your order, or require us to follow up on a delayed delivery, please get in touch and we can provide you with this.

Q: Can I have a VAT receipt for my order?
A: If you require a VAT receipt, please get in touch with us and we will be able to provide one upon purchase.

Q: I would like to cancel my order.
A: If for some reason you require your order to be cancelled, please get in touch and a member of the team will assist you. Full details for returns, exchanges, and cancellations can be viewed on out returns policy.

Q: Can I track my order?
A: Yes all of our orders are dispatched with a tracked and signed for service, your unique tracking number will be provided to you by email once your order has been dispatched from our workshop.

Q: What are your delivery charges?
A:Delivery charges are automatically calculated from the weight and cost of items on our checkout page. If you would like to find out more details about shipping costs, then please do get in touch with us,

We gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations. Please see our returns policy for full details.

All of our products are hand-crafted and made to order in our Brighton workshop. We aim to have all of our products crafted, packed and dispatched to you within 5-7 working days.

Bulk orders, may take slightly longer these can take anywhere between 1-2 weeks.

A variety of our products that we stock may specify different lead times, these can be viewed on the individual product listings.

Bespoke orders, lead times will be provided to you by a member of our team when finalising your order. Please provide us with your project target date if applicable and we will do everything we can to meet your time-frame.

Shipping times vary by delivery address. For delivery within the UK, it can take between 1-3 working days from dispatch.

For delivery to Europe, it can take between 3-6 working days from dispatch.

For delivery to other international countries, it can take between 3-10 working days from dispatch.

Bank holidays, national holidays and peak seasonal shipping periods will produce longer delivery times.

Q: If I want to speak with someone, what is your opening hours?
A: Our office and workshop are open from 10.00am until 5.30pm Monday-Friday and from 10.00am until 1.00pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Bank Holidays, Easter Saturday and over the Christmas and New Year period.

Satin Lacquered:
Lacquered items generally require little maintenance, however a simple clean and dusting every now and then can help to bring back your coppers shine.

Clean with a damp soft cloth, using a small amount of soapy water.

Gently dry completely with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

We suggest avoiding:
-The use of household cleaners or disinfectants, as these can cause surfaces to be damaged.
-Try to avoid the use of rough, abrasive cleaning equipment.

Natural Copper:
Copper will gradually age over time, darkening in colour to a variety of rustic tones. Below are a number of cleaning tips for the removal of tarnish from your copper items.

We suggest:
Copper can be restored to its original shine by polishing with a metal cleaning product such as BRASSO. This product can be purchased both Online or at your local hardware store.
There are also many other methods for cleaning copper. information regarding these can be found Online, or alternatively we can offer tips and advice regarding this matter if you require.

We suggest avoiding:
-The use of household cleaners or disinfectants, as these can cause surfaces to be damaged.
-Avoid the use of rough, abrasive cleaning equipment.
